Now that I’m a Harry Potter dork, I had to find my house. Please stop me before I knit a Ravenclaw sweater.

Which Hogwarts house will you be sorted into?

Next…!

img_6944.JPG I think the City of Austin will let me move there, now that I’ve met the UT t-shirt requirement.

I was there on a game day last weekend, and the whole city was a sea of burnt orange. The enthusiasm for the team was really contagious!

The Lace & Spit pattern can now be found on my Patterns page.

Free!

And no, I didn’t fix the mistake…err…design feature shown in this photo. The pattern, however, is correct.

img_6941.JPG I don’t have a caption for this photo. If you think of a good one, please share.

Have a great weekend!

  1. So you’re a whole hearted HP fan now huh? I’m a Ravenclaw too :) But I like the Gryffindor colors better! I think the dogs are playing King of the Mountain and once again Abe’s at the bottom of the mountain … He’s a cutie!

  2. What fun! I’m a Hufflepuff (but I think I was being too nice w/some of the answers). To continue the HP dorkiness, the boys are playing Quidditch and you have a picture of the Keeper and a Beater there. The Chaser and the Seeker are out of picture. Have a good weekend! No comment on the UT t-shirt from up here in OU country.

  3. Look innocent, I hear her coming our way! Let’s try to convince her we’re hunting a lizard and we just saved her from it! They look so cute and very familiar to what my boys look like when I’ve caught them doing something wrong! Gonna get the pattern–love that scarf. Go for the burnt orange! How fun to be in big college city with all that support from fans. Our team has been lousy for years, maybe decades. Happy Friday!

  4. Usually I’m no good at captions, but as soon as I saw this, I thought “one up, one down” — info here, if you played different drinking games where you went to school :)

  6. Yikes! I’m going to Slytherin! Does that mean that I’m going to be incahoots with Malfoy? I hate him!

Tell the boys that I think they did a nice job with the packing. They are nothing if not helpful.

And that opening paragraph? I think my niece must have written it for you.

  7. For the picture, how about “Upstairs, Downstairs” like that British tv show? Lou (is that Lou?) at the top of the stairs is the “Master” and Abe is the “Servant.” LOL!

  8. Now all you need is a “Keep Austin Weird” bumper sticker and you’ll be all set. :)

  12. Looks to me like they’re saying, “C’mon Mom, it’s bedtime!” But that’s probably only because it’s late here, and Ruby is already warming my bed and waiting for me. ;)

the scarf is gorgeous and the dogs are as always, very cute.

  15. “Did someone mention packing? We’ll be right there!”

Thanks so much for posting that scarf pattern, it’s gorgeous – and so easy that it’s even doable for a knitting rookie like me! I don’t think I’ll do the spit splice thing though, I’ll just use one color, or maybe a yarn that changes colors. Burnt orange would be a great idea for that scarf, too, I think.

  16. I am a Ravenclaw as well. I have just started the HP series, and I am on book 3. I have seen all the movies, but I decided I should read the books. My hubby is a HP freak, so he is very happy that I am finally getting to the books.

Your pups look quite guilty in that shot. You can tell they have just done something that they shouldn’t have…..

  18. Staci, thank you so very much for your kind words regarding Sheeba. I miss her so much and still can’t believe I won’t see her again.
Your little dogs are adorable – and they even help you with the packing!! :)

  19. Looks like the boys are about to do some stair diving. They are moments away from dragging a pool full of beer over to the end of the stairs.

  20. Hey, I’m a Ravenclaw too! You knit the hats for the house elfs and I’ll make them some necklaces. Hope all’s well with the moving. I hate packing, but love arranging things in my new digs.
