“Magnificent”

Out with the old, in with the new. Time to look ahead to 2008.

I’ve never been one to make New Year’s resolutions, but I have some personal goals this time. Easy ones:

1. Do what makes me happy.
2. Be nice to myself, and less critical.
3. Surround myself with people who make it easy to stick to above goals.

When it comes to the new year, the descriptive word that pops into my head is “magnificent”. One of the dictionary definitions of this word is “exceptionally fine”. Yeah, baby. I can live with that.

See ya in 2008.

  1. Here’s wishing you a great last day of 2007 as well as a whole host of excellent evenings in 2008, Staci! *hugs*

  2. Happy New Year! This is going to be a great year for you and your boys. Enjoy every last moment. I love your “theme” for the new year. I agree on the resolutions thing- but I love your list. You have inspired me to come up with a theme for my 2008. Thank you for your great blog. It is the first one I go to every day.

  3. Happy New Year! Love the goals.
My daughter & I were watching Deadliest Catch last night and I thought about you! New season starts pretty soon.

  4. Those are great goals. I am also trying to get rid of negative people in my life again, or at least get them to stop sharing their negative thoughts. It just drags one down.

I will be drinking sparkling apple cider tonight. 🙂

  5. Reading your resolutions reminded me that I should think about a few…I kind of like yours. I might just go with something along those lines.

Happy New Year to you, Ike, and Abe!! 🙂

  6. Here’s to you and the boys, the goals seem to be good and easy ones to keep.
Hope you enjoy the night, we will be snowed bound by the looks of things. Maybe me and Toby will come down to visit you to get away from all this snow. lol. I am sick of it already and they ( the weather guys) are predicted this is just the start of it this year.
    Enjoy yourself, you deserve it.

  7. Happy New Year, Staci! I just know 2008 is going to be YOUR year! May the Universe bring you good fortune, good health and much happiness in the coming year! Also, may the squirrels in your yard always be quicker than your pups! Ha! 🙂
