Make It, Make It, Make It, Make It

Faster, faster, faster, faster!

Don’t miss the video at the end of this post. You might want to go ahead and empty your bladder now, so you don’t pee your pants laughing.

Fast-Topic-Changing-Friday, as scheduled.

3.jpg As I write this post, I’m wearing wool socks and a bathrobe that looks like an arctic sleeping bag…and I couldn’t be happier.

The brutal Texas summer has been delayed by a few more days. A few more days of wearing handknits and NOT sweating. Hello, Clapotis!

image_555.jpg God gum?

I found this at the checkstand at Hobby Lobby. I’m guessing it’s not a joke, because it’s Hobby Lobby and all – but it reminds me of this product…

51seaaktell_ss500_.jpg “Believe in God Instantly Breath Spray”. This is available on, and IS a joke.

The packaging says “Miraculously Minty Faith-Enhancing Breath Spray”.

image_567.jpg February Lady Sweater. I made this for the other Stacy’s daughter, and it’s currently on display at The Knitting Nest.

Such a great pattern, and a really friendly introduction to sweater knitting for new knitters. So, I’m offering this pattern as a class this month.

img_6148.JPG I made this little man, too. He’s a felted Fiber Trends pattern, and really fun to knit.

I swear, he’s cuter in person than he is here, because he is NOT photogenic. I took a bajillion bad photos of him before I got this one.

img_6095.JPG Here is a silhouette of WillieMcGee, after he rearranged the sofa cushions while hunting. His prey? A confused housefly.

One last thing –

Crafty people need to watch this video. I’ve been singing this song for two days because I love it that much.

Have a great weekend!

  1. That’s the nicest February sweater I’ve seen! And I hope you don’t mind but I put that video on my blog too (with props to you of course!)

You must be happy to get some cooler weather, me I can’t wait to stop being cold!

  2. I am a little worried. I must not be a crafty person cause I am a little worried about the video and you. Cooler weather? It doesn’t ever stop here, so if you get too hot stop on by, unfortunately I will still be here wearing some fantastic hand knits!!

  3. I believe you and the knittas can do a much better video – something along the lines of Robert Palmer and …Addicted to Yarn….. perhaps?

  4. Oh my! That video is crazy funny! I had to “de-lurk” and leave a comment! Hilarious….I met you a couple of years ago at Hill Country Weavers, btw. Don’t get down there too often these days….take care.

  5. I got to this blog googling for a new template and I really like yours, could you indicate where i can donwload or purchase it from ?

  6. Just wanted to say real quick that I love your blog! I’ve been reading for the past month and I just can’t get enough. Keep up the good work. 🙂

  7. Great song! I belong to a charity organisation called Knitting for Brisbane’s Needy here in Australia – this chorus fits us to a Tee! We just can’t knit fast enough to help out all the homeless and needy people!

Can you tell me how do I post this video on my blog? I am not totally computer ignorant but this is one thing I haven’t done – yet!

    Thanks for sharing!

  8. Just wanted to let you know that it?s not showing up properly on the BlackBerry Browser (I have a Pearl). Anyway, I?m now on the RSS feed on my laptop, so thanks!
