Mostly Due to “Bitchface”
Several months ago, I put together a post where I showed some of the outtakes from my daily photo project. I’m ready to do it again, but this time with a theme.
I end up rejecting about 80% of the photos I take of myself due to unwanted facial expressions, what I’m calling “bitchface” and “goofyface”. One would think that after nearly 18 months of self-portraits, I would be better at controlling this. I am not.
I have learned this much. Two things that make me look angry are the sun, and concentration. Goofyface happens when I start getting bored with a photoshoot.

OMG!! LOVE LOVE LOVE Tippy’s bitchface!! It is great! Awesome theme BTW…I like the out takes better then the published photos!!!

Love the Tippy bitchface. My wiener dog Lucy pulls off a pretty good bitchface, too — and, when denied the squeaky toy she wants to gut, quite a bitch attitude, as well.

ha! tippy’s bitchface is awesome. and comes in as a close second to cali’s bitchface. she hates me a little for bringing in cody and marti, and allowing bocephus to live in her house. she tolerates all this as long as i pet her a lot with the grooming glove.

This is so funny – I never thought to keep all of my outtake photos of my mug, but then again, mine are not nearly as interesting as yours.
PS: Tippy has the best bitchface I’ve ever seen.

I just love your self-portraits! I have the same problem with bitchface in pictures. Sometimes I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror and think, “Do I look like this to other people all day long?!”

I thought I was the only one with bitchface. Every single picture of me has me looking either angry, constipated, or insane. That’s why most of my facebook pictures are either a)not of me, b)include my dog as a majority of the photo, or c)are a caricature drawn from a tolerable photo.
There should be a new facebook. bitchfacebook.
