  1. This doesn’t really have to do with the topic at hand, but I must ask if you might know where I could obtain a quality captcha plugin that I can implement on my blog?? I’m implementing the same blog platform as you and I’m having trouble locating one?

  2. Hi Staci, how about another video demonstrating a way to do a wrap and turn….the German short row?

  3. An impressive share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a co-worker who was conducting a little research on this. And he in fact ordered me breakfast simply because I stumbled upon it for him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending the time to talk about this issue here on your blog.

  4. Hello, every time i used to check webpage posts here early in the daylight, for the reason that i love to gain knowledge of more and more.

  5. Fantastic goods from you, man. I’ve understand your stuff previous to and you are just too magnificent. I really like what you’ve acquired here, really like what you are stating and the way in which you
say it. You make it enjoyable and you still care for to
keep it smart. I can not wait to read far more from
you. This is actually a great website.

  6. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your website?

Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you
could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it
better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two images.

Maybe you could space it out better?

  7. When some one searches for his necessary thing, thus he/she needs to be available that in detail,
therefore that thing is maintained over here.

  8. I am working on a Debbie Bliss baby booties pattern and I’m about to start the section titled “Shape Instep”. I know the pattern is going into short rows in stockinette stitch (which I’ve never done before). It never says anything about “wrap”, but it does say to turn after each row. I wondered if the instructions she is giving in the pattern already make provision for the “wrap and turn”. I don’t want my work to be full of holes. I thought I could type out this part of the instructions and you might be able to tell me if I should be doing what you show in the video (maybe they assume the knitter will already know to do this).
Starting with 64 stitches on needle: Shape instep
    K36, skpo, turn.
    Sl 1, p8, p2tog, turn.
    Sl 1, k8, skpo, turn.
Rep the last 2 rows 7 times more, then work first of the 2 rows again.
    Sl 1, k to end.
    K17, k2tog, p8, skpo, k17. 44 sts.
    K24, turn.
    P4, turn.
    K4, turn.
Work 2 1/4 in. in st st on these 4 sts only for front strap. Cast off.

Thank you for your help 🙂

  9. Naomi – thank you for the note. If you’ve seen pattern photos for this project, and you like the way it looks, wraps are probably not necessary. Even if you see tiny holes as you’re knitting, they may disappear after blocking. Your best bet is to search for this pattern on Ravelry, and see what other knitters are saying about it, and whether or not they have modified the pattern to include wraps.

    Good luck!

  10. Hello Staci
I watched your fabulous video on ten-stitch blanket (fantastic instructions!), and I followed your instructions for the W&T, your instructions in that video are consistent with the video above (though in the 10-stitch, we dont pick up the wraps)- when beginning the wrap (on the knit side), you move the yarn to the front, then do the wrap – the the stitch is wrapped from front to back. I recently watched a few other videos on W&T, and I noticed that most of the instructors indicate the yarn stays to the back (on the knit side) – which then means that the knit stitch is wrapped from back to front. Does it make any practical differnce? The stitches look slightly different, was just wondering about the different methodologies. THanks for your help. Rachel

  11. Staci, I am trying to knit the toe up sock with the provisional cast on and I was doing okay watching your video till I got to row 2, where you purl to the last w&t. I was able to see the knit side w&t good but when it come to the last purl w&t, you went so fast I can’t make out how you did it and now I’m stuck. Can you help me and explain how to do this or, is there a video that show this done slower and to where you can see it better? Thanks for your help.

  12. Tammy – this is something I shared on Facebook a while back. It is exactly how to work w&ts, written out in steps.

Here is EXACTLY how to work wrap & turn stitches, broken down to every single hand motion, right and wrong sides.

    Edge stitches
    Right side (knit side):
    • K to last stitch
    • Pull working yarn forward between the needles
    • Slip last stitch from L needle to R
    • Turn work
    • Slip same stitch from L needle to R
    • Working yarn will wrap around the base of that stitch
    Wrong side (purl side):
    • P to last stitch
    • Pull working yarn back between the needles
    • Slip last stitch from L needle to R
    • Turn work
    • Slip same stitch from L needle to R
    • Working yarn will wrap around the base of that stitch

All other stitches (not edge stitches)
    Right side (knit side):
    • Follow pattern, K up to next stitch to be wrapped
    • Pull working yarn forward between the needles
    • Slip stitch from L needle to R
    • Pull working yarn back between the needles
    • Slip same stitch from R needle to L
    • Turn work, continue with next row
    Wrong side (purl side)
    • Follow pattern, P up to next stitch to be wrapped
    • Pull working yarn back between the needles
    • Slip stitch from L needle to R
    • Pull working yarn forward between the needles
    • Slip same stitch from R needle to L
    • Turn work, continue with next row

    Hope that helps!
