Crocheted Seam

In this video I demonstrate a crocheted seam, and we take a look at how it compares to the mattress stitch.

The Knitter’s Pride Dreamz crochet hooks I use in the video can be found here.

You can find more information about Knitter’s Pride Dreamz crochet hooks from these retailers:

The swatches I used for demonstration are knit with Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky.

The needle gauge I show in the video can be found here.

My nail polish is by Julep, color “Evan”.

  1. Thanks so much!!!! I have a lace piece that I have dreaded seaming, I think the crocheted seam will be easier than mattress stitch for this, since it’s a dark alpaca. Really appreciate your work!

  2. Hi, the timing of this is perfect. Knitting a baby blanket in squares and wanted to join them by crocheting. If you want the color of the yarn you are crocheting with for the seam to show, would I use a larger crochet hook? I am joining the squares with black and would like a row of black to show? Trying to duplicate flannel LOL

    Thank you,
    Kathy
