I’m in a mad dash to leave for my summer vacation. No, not going to Mexico or the Caribbean. That would be too ordinary. I’m off to Kodiak, Alaska to visit my family. I’ll be comin’ atcha from Alaska next week, provided I remember all of my passwords for posting.
In the meantime, it’s Friday…
Chris – I have a message for you. Your Mid-Life Crisis called to say thanks for your recent auto purchase. It sounded really happy on the phone.

I am going to be traveling a long-ass way – from the southernmost orange Tums to the northernmost orange Tums.
When you look at a map like this, it’s hard to believe that Alaska is even part of the US. Seems like Canada should get it, simply because it would be a cheaper flight for Canadians. Next…!
No, you have to stay here.

I have a metric ton of knits to bring with me for my sister’s new baby, as well as other gifts for my family.
The knits I’m going to work on there: the Orchid Lace Scarf, a little baby jacket in periwinkle, and (not shown) A Cardigan for Arwen. That should keep me busy. Next…!
See ya!
Have a great weekend. |
What’s the fascination with pets and suitcases? I’m pretty sure I could assemble a gallery of my cats in them at various points in time 😀
make that “gallery of pictures of”. Oi. I need my morning caffeine.
It’s impossible to put a suitcase out without at least one pet climbing inside. I knew it was going to happen, so I had the camera ready. 🙂
I hope you have a fantastic trip visiting with your family! Too bad the doggies can’t hop a ride in a suitcase! (my Mom’s dog does that too!)
Tell Chris that his midlife crisis purchase looks good with you in it! You should get to drive it all the time! Heehee
Can’t wait for the updates from Alaska!
Have a great time in Alaska. I know the “boys” will all miss you.
have fun in alaska! brr just the name makes me feel cold. It’s a chilly maximum temp of 15 degrees C downunder in sydney at the mo!
Will you get to be there when your new neice is born?? that would be so exciting!
That pic of you makes me think of Thelma and Louise!!! What a purty car though!!! Have a wonderful trip and pet a grizzley for me!!!! 🙂
Have a great trip! I am looking forward to reading all about it!
Also, digging this green theme on the blog. Very nice!
Nice ride. Have a great trip. Tell Chris to take the new car out for a spin and come visit us in San Antonio.
Wha…? You’re not bringing 4 Basnejis with you on your vacation? LOL!
Who’s watching the kids while you’re gone?
Have fun!
IKE CAN COME!!! Don’t tell him no!! Did Chris Really get that car? What a nonlogical purchase!! Yeah, little did I realize that I lived SOOO far away, that however, is VERY logical?!!
Wow! Cool Midlife Crisismobile!
I hope you have a safe trip to Alaska and that the boys don’t miss you too much. Take lots of pictures and document everything so we can live vicariously through you.
🙂 TamiW
I just came in from checking the mail and Alaska sounds AWESOME right at this moment! 🙂 I never visualize Being THAT far north, but I know it is because my parents lived there for a while. (It was the Air Force’s idea – not theirs!)
Awwww . . . the guys are going to miss you so much while you’re gone.
Love the Mid-Life Crisis car though — it could have been FAR worse! LOL!
(Ah crap – can I edit my comment?) I meant for it to say “I never visualize it being that far north.”
Have a safe and wonderful trip! Can’t wait to see pics of Alaska
Thanks Pig. SA is definitely in my plans sometime this summer. Not sure you’ll fit in the new ride though!
Oh, man … the new ride looks SWEET! And you look so adorable in it. (I’m sure Chris does too, but you? You wear it well!) Have fun in Alaska, and know that I’ll be here in Houston melting while jealous of you up there! *swoon!*
Hey, there are worse things to do with a Mid Life Crisis! The car is pretty darn nice. I agree that you look better in it. Have a great trip, that’s a looooonnnng way between Tums.
oh that orchid scarf looks GREAT! it will be plenty fab trailing out the back of that car!
Maybe you and Chris need to move to Florida so that those Tums can be as far away as possible (but still be in the US)
Am I reading this right? K5 then follow the chevron pattern, end with k5?
