I had a great weekend in Austin, but surprisingly, I didn’t take photos of all the fun things I saw. (Not even one with Meg in her new sweater!) Here are a few photos I did take, and one I didn’t.
A little knitting time with my friends…
The breathtaking Wall of Cascade 220 at The Knitting Nest…
Caro… | |
Some self-portrait action, showing the fancy necklace I scored from a piΓ±ata…
I was trying to get Meg in this photo, but she turned her head right as I snapped the shot. |

The Moose Lodge…

And back in Houston – skulls-and-crossbones are out, and hot-rod flames are in. |
Great photos! Sounds like you had a terrific weekend – yay you!
Love the flames and love the doggie portrait.
Good times, good times.
You are probably aware of this already, but Etsy has some cool shops for dog collars. Here’s some that I found:
Lucky Fiona (http://luckyfiona.etsy.com)
Dirty Dawgz (http://dirtydawgz.etsy.com)
Love the HR flames! Hope all is going well!

Can’t believe I missed out on the Moose action. Great seeing you this weekend though. Come back soon!
Looks like a fantastic weekend… that wall of Cascade is definitely drool-worthy!
I’m still lovin your hair cut! You look happy and well rested.
I’m glad you had a wonderful weekend.
I see you got your G fixed…

Glad you had a good weekend. Glad it was a moose lodge and not a moose, hunting season has started here now so we have to watch out for the real moose on the highways. I like the pic of all the wool, nice colors.
Love the Flame collar as well. What a model he is. π
It looks like fabulous fun! π
But I have to know what the green ball of “yarn” is on the table?
You look terrific and it seemed like you were having a good time. As always, the doggies are stylin’ and profilin’.
I just want to know how you get the gang to wear collars. Mine have chewed through every collar I ever tried.
Yes! I want to know about the green ball on the table too. [You look gorgeous, btw.]
hotrod flames and skulls and crossbones are always worn by only the most stylish of pooches. π
glad to see you had a good time. π
ahem, MOOSE!!!!
ok. I’m better now. heh! π
the moose lodge was fun. next time we take on the elks!
The big ball of green “yarn” is actually cut up t-shirt material, wound into a ball. There are needles there so anyone can have a go at knitting with it. The last person who completed a row must have had really tight tension, because no one is strong enough now to complete another row!
Believe me, I tried. And I’m no weakling.
It was great to have you here! I only wish we’d have more overlap time before I leave.
Hey, that’s me in the red tshirt! I’m famous! Good to see you this weekend and glad you’re getting more Austin-y!
Sounds like a good time in your soon-to-be home city!
DUDE! I thought the Caro was gone, so I didn’t call her when I was in Austin. (Her house is near the house where I was staying.) My Austin time was so minimal though, I didn’t get to see anyone or knit at all. So sad! I have to go back again SOON!
