In the shape of a suggestion, may I say that it would be a good idea to show how the bind-off (or for that matter, any of the procedures you so nicely explain) looks once completed. I think it helps to have a reference as for the final result, so to speak.

Thanks so much for sharing this technique. Despite my best efforts, I normally bind off on the tight side, but not using the sewn bind-off. You’re a great teacher!
Is their a rule of thumb regarding length of tail needed to do the sew bind-off for each project.
Jo – I find that three times the length of the seam is long enough for a tail.

Love this bind off!!! Just tried it on a toe up sock and there is plenty of stretch for the foot. I am so surprised. Looks so much better than traditional bind off. This is my new go to bind off for all my projects.
