  3. Lovely! I just learned how to knit fair isle holding your main yarn in one hand and the contrasting yarn in the other hand and now I’m hooked on fair isle. I had to learn how to knit continental in order to perform this yarn management technique but I can’t imagine knitting fair isle any other way now! The yarn looks absolutely wonderful to work with and the hat is super cute and classic! 🙂

    Dale Garn is synonymous with high quality to me. Your description of their Alpakka yarn being smooth does not surprise me, given their stringent standards.

    My 22 year old daughter would look terrific in this hat ~ the colors in either kit #2 or #3 would best suit her.

  13. So pretty! What a great giveaway! I have worked with alpaca blends before but found some amazing undyed charcoal color 100% alpaca while on holiday and just had to buy some. And it’s not super fuzzy either.

    I’ve been planning on trying fair isle knitting for so long now but I’ve been to nervous to try.
    Winning this would be perfect timing since one of my new years revolutions for 2016 was to try fair isle.
    I did try double knitting and that worked out nicely. Next step fair isle.
