The MKAL (Mystery Knit Along) Casey is knitting now
Hi Ladies
I was intrigued at the explanation Staci gave of how to determine where to begin pulling yarn from, using the clues of how the label is written. I just watched the “Skein, Ball, Hank, Cake” video and didn’t find the explanation there related to the writing on the label. Can you direct me to the video where you give the explanation that you gave on the podcast, showing what you mean by the direction the label is printed? I’m not sure I understand “when the label is printed right to left,” as printing in English is always left to right and the label band on a skein is around the middle. Thank you for clarifying this awesome tip!
Thank you!
Judy – gosh, I’m usually good about remember what info is in which video! Sorry about that. I can’t think what other video it might be, but I’ll keep thinking and let you know!

It’s in the video where you split a 100g seeing into two balls before starting a pair of socks – not sure which socks – if memory serves, Lion brand was the yarn. The ball you split was a heavier weight. Hope that helps.

I am also interested in this.
I agree with Judy. In the video you mention, you explain the differences between a skein, ball, hank and cake, even referencing where to locate the end of yarn but you don’t mention labels at all. I NEED that info as does my daughter-in-law as we are both terribly guilty of yarn barf!
