Hi Staci and Casey, Your podcast is brilliant! I wanted to let you know about a couple of “hand savers” I use. I’m in Northern Illinois, it gets quite cold and really dry here and in the past I’d used a lot of lotions. Last year, I’d heard a story on NPR about some lotions having allergens or chemicals that could be irritatants. When I made the switch to indie sellers, I ordered ‘Etta and Billie’s’ Hand Balms (California), and last week I purchased a ‘Love and Leche Little Bee Lotion Bar’ (New Mexico) in Lemongrass from a little yarn shop in Chelsea, MI. Thank you so much for all of your videos and advice, you both are so generous with your time! With every new pattern I knit, I choose it with new techniques to learn in mind, and naturally I consult your YouTube! *claps hands* Cheers and best wishes! Andi : ) p.s. I’ve added the lotion links here: https://www.ettaandbillie.com/skin-balm/ https://loveandleche.com https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2017/10/02/554365324/hypoallergenic-and-fragrance-free-moisturizer-claims-are-often-false
Thanks, Andi!
Thank you so much for your link to your previous video about tensioning between knits and purls. I knit continental and do snug up between knits & purls but I have been doing it no matter which was the leading stitch. While better than not snugging at all I still haven’t been completely satisfied with my results, especially after cables. What I have not been doing is your extra trick of moving the yarn to the back for the snugging motion even if there are more purl stitches to follow. I’m looking forward to trying this!!
