  1. How do ever find out what the staple length is! This seems to be vital information but it’s not available.

    • Sandra – you can always ask the yarn company…but yes, I agree, this should be information we get on the yarn label. You can also look at Ravelry reviews for the yarn to see if people are taking about pilling or not.

  3. Concerning the question about square needles, I’d like to add that I find stitches easier to pick up or get my right needle under as I knit, thus I can knit a little faster. On round needles the yarn ‘hugs’ or conforms to the needles a little more but the square ones seem to leave a little gap (the yarn doesn’t conform to a square) that I can slide into more easily. I don’t find much difference from the round ones otherwise.
