For very visual learners, an addition to my slow motion playlist. The German Twisted Cast-On is my go-to whenever I need a CO with extra stretch.
You can see my other slow-motion videos here.
The needles I’m using in this video are Knitter’s Pride Ginger. The yarn is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky.
Is this good for top down socks?
Love your videos and podcasts! I have come so far with my knitting because of all your videos. I was trying to show my Mom how to do it. I thought this would be great, but it is different from your other video for this cast on. I’ll let her try both ways and see which is easier for her.
Thanks again!
Pamela – the results are exactly the same. Over the years I’ve found it easier to go up and under the strand on the thumb, rather than untwisting the loop using the thumb.
