So cute, right? In the video below I demonstrate the techniques used in the Cissi Swing Coat. This sweater is sized for kids from 1 to 7 years old, and uses MillaMia Naturally Soft Merino. The yarn is machine washable and comes in 32 colors.
You can find this pattern on the LoveCrafts website here.
MillaMia Naturally Soft Merino can be found here. The colors I show in the video are Petal, Storm, and Tempest Blue.
The cowl on the mannequin is Color My Cowl, free pattern and tutorial.
The needles I use for demonstration are Knitter’s Pride Gingers.

It looks really cute
Great tutorial!
I have a question pertaining to the bind-0ff at the armhole.
It appears to me that the bind-off when starting the second row will be higher than the previous row. Is that correct? If so, how can I bind-off at the end of the first row in order to avoid that problem?
Thank you very much.
I really love your instructions in all your videos.
Dina
Dina – yes, the BO on the second row will be one row higher, but it really makes no difference. You can see in my sweater that the sleeves set in just fine…this is “normal” armhole shaping used in almost every pieced sweater out there, it always works fine.S t a c i
Working on this can’t wait to finish. My question is what size did you make that you held up in the beginning of the video? I’m making size 4-5 but it seems like it will be on the smaller size. Thank you. Always love your videos.
Cheri – I knit the smallest size in my sample sweater.

Left Front query:
What does the pattern mean to ‘Work straight until 12(14…) rows LESS HAVE BEEN WORKED THAN ON BACK TO SHOULDER SHAPING ? How do I figure that number of rows?
Thank you for helping out, if at all possible.
Darby – you can count the number of rows you used on the back, or if you haven’t knit the back yet, just keep track and make a note on your pattern how many rows you knit before starting the armhole shaping.S t a c i
Great pattern, amazing video as always.
Actually though I wanted just to say that I love your hair like that. The other haircuts look also good on you, but this one I think it’s exceptionally beautiful.
I know it’s totally unrelated with knitting what I said and I hope it’s not a problem that I posted here.
Once again thanks a lot for all the help you offer to us.
