It took a while, but Casey and I are ready to pick back up with regular weekly episodes! In this one, we catch up with the changes the pandemic has brought to our lives in the last year. Next week we’ll be back to magically turning knitting knitting questions into knitting answers.

Where is the podcast app?
You can find a podcast app on your phone or other device. Apple users frequently use Apple Podcasts, a free app that usually comes pre-loaded. I’m an Android user, and I use Pocket Casts or Google Podcasts (both free apps). Once you download the app, you can search for podcasts, like VeryPink Knits.

There is something good to be said about a temporary case of agoraphobia. I haven’t been inside ANY business since March 1, 2020. Thank goodness I enjoy my own company and that of the cat. lol
I’m so happy that you’re both safe and back with the podcasts !
Thank you! I can’t wait to start listening again! So very grateful – you made my day hearing this news!!
This is my first time hearing your podcast, although I enjoy your knitting tutorials. Imagine my surprise to learn you’re in Austin! I just happen to be in Austin for a couple of weeks. Then I’m back to the SF bay area where the rain doesn’t freeze!
Welcome back ladies! Thank you. I am in New Zealand and it was very interesting and informative to hear about your experiences from a country with a far greater population than little old NZ as well as sharing some of the challenges you have faced. Wonderful that the two of you have figured out a way to do a podcast despite your geographical distance from each other.
Take care
I have missed this so much!!!
However something to consider – You all called a halt to your podcast towards the end of 2019. Shortly after that everything went to sh*t. Your return is surely a harbinger of a more normal life. 🙂
I’ve missed you both! It’s been bad enough dealing with COVID, but it was an extra slap in the face to not have you two to listen to every week.
I am SO happy that you two are back! I’d just discovered your podcasts in the fall of 2019 and was incredibly sad when you started your break shortly afterward. I’ve spent this time of our confinement listening and re-listening to podcasts #1 – #174 and can’t wait for the new ones!
Thank you for validating my fears of easing back into life and the heart racing I thought was just me! It’s comforting knowing it’s not just me!
So glad you’re back! Enjoyed listening and looking forward to the next episode. Btw, that state of panic you experienced after your post office visit? I have been in that state almost non-stop for the past year. There are times when I don’t think I’ll survive the stress even if I continue to avoid covid. I work in a municipal office. No opportunity to work remotely. Fortunately I’ve had my first shot and am scheduled for the second next week (I am under 65 but I am a diabetic).
Hooray! You’re back! I’ve missed you both so much ? From Cornwall, UK.
Welcome back! I’m so happy to hear you both again!!!
So,So, So happy to hear both of your voices!!! Looking forward to hearing you both on my podcast lineup once again. 🙂
Welcome Back! Greetings from SW Colorado. It’s good to hear your voices together again. At this time, I think that you are both experiencing winter’s wonders, as we are (finally) here in Colorado. Stay safe, stay warm, and knit on.
I was SO happy when I saw you pop up in my Apple Podcasts! I usually listen to you while knitting.
A quick reflection on my move FROM Maine to Cincinnati, Ohio in 2011… when winter came around that year I thought I won the winter lottery. The high temps never went negative, and any snowfall over an inch and a half shuts the area down. Oddly, with winters so mild here (compared to what I’m used to), I am expected to stay home more often because road crews simply can’t keep up with any significant snowfall. Should the day come where Cincy gets 3-4 feet of snow over 24 hours, I’m sure that would be considered a true emergency. But, I end up knitting so much more in the milder winters here than in Maine, because as little as 3 to 6 inches of snow shuts everything down, including work. Enjoy Maine, Casey. I do miss parts of home. When you’re able to go exploring for fabulous yarn, go traipsing up to Harmony, Maine in Somerset County. There you will find Bartlett Yarns at 20 Water street, on the banks of Higgins Stream. Enjoy “Life the Way it Should Be”.
I’m so glad the podcast is back. One little thing I feel compelled to mention. Staci, you are probably not aware, but the ocean water in Maine is not just “not bath water”, it is frigid. I used to swim in the ocean in NY all of the time, with no problem. Then on a trip to Maine, I tried going in, and it was freezing. It’s much colder there because there is no Gulf Stream to warm the water up. Stay warm and healthy.
Looking forward to more episodes.
