This video is an introduction to the pattern design software from knitCompanion – PatternGenius!
To give PatternGenius a try, just search for it in the Apple app store.
You can see the whole knitCompanion playlist here.
The scarf on the mannequin is Mentolat (not my design, free pattern on Ravelry) using Kramer Perfection DK yarns.
Awesome, Staci! Thank you for this! You are my knitting touchstone; I know I’m not the only knitter who feels this way. I bought a used iPad immediately after your second knitCompanion video just so I could subscribe. I’ll be supporting Pattern Genius similarly, even if I don’t use all the features. It makes me happy to support developers who maintain their apps and who take the user experience seriously.
Love you to bits. Please move to my neighborhood so I can bake you things.
Can patter genius be used to plug in patterns that are all ready made up or is it just for designing patterns?
Carol – for interacting with existing PDF patterns, you want to use knitCompanion. PatternGenius is for designing new patterns.
