About Lykke needles: first, they supposedly come from the same factory as Knit Pro.
Their cables are similar to knit pro cables but a little stiffer. At first, I did not like the cables. Over time, I did find I like their cables more than Knit Pro cables because of this stiffness.
When I first started knitting, Addi Turbo needles had a nylon coated steel cable. I loved them. I won’t buy their needles now though.
As for nylon coated steel cable brand, Lykke will be releasing Flight needles this fall. They will be all steel, and extremely sharp points. Think Kollage needle points.
Chiaogoo has spin and twist cables. The spin cables do spin freely. All Lykke needles should be free-spinning now. At least, all their replacement cables are free-spinning.
I think that is all I wanted to add about needles.
