Binding-off: Tidying Up the Last Stitch

In this video I demonstrate a simple technique for tidying-up the pesky last stitch in a bind-off.

The needles I use in the video are Knitter’s Pride Bamboo DPNs.

The yarn I use in the video is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky.

My nail polish is Gelish, “I Or-kid You Not”.

  1. Staci, you came through again! This is exactly the technique I needed for a sweater I’m finishing. Your videos are so clear and they make it easier to remember the technique. Thanks a bunch!! BTW, LOOOVE your podcast.

  2. Your tips are always so helpful and you make so that that are within my grasp to do. Thank you

  3. Thanks, Staci, another great tip.

I too had a head-slap tip moment regarding a minor knitting irritation. When putting knitting on scrap yarn for any purpose, the first and last stitch are often wonky – as you are wont to say. In addition to the scrap yarn, I also put a clippy marker in the first and last stitch and, voila, no problem finding those pesky stitches.

  4. I’ve watched tidy bind-off and stretchy BO and as someone commented earlier ” You’re it Staci”. Thank you.
