Size: 15 inches wide by 65.5 inches long (38cm x 166cm)
Needles: Size US 4 (3.5mm) 24” circulars or straight needles
Yarn: Three colors of KPC Lovat (see note on yarn below)
Additional Materials: tapestry needle for weaving ends
Gauge: 6 stitches per inch in seed stitch
Note on yarn: The three colors are broken down into a Main Color (MC), Accent Color 1 (AC1), and Accent Color 2 (AC2). AC1 is the color used in the corners, and AC2 is the color used in the stripe.
MC – 6 balls of KPC Lovat
AC1 – 2 balls
AC2 – 1 ball
If you would like to make a longer or shorter shawl, each ball of MC yarn adds about 8” of length.
The Lovat yarn colors I used in my shawl are Denim, Champagne, and Flannel.

it worked for me. i had to set up an account first. then it worked. i also switched to American dollars.
I set up an account then applied the code but did not see any reduction in price.

The Lovat yarn is priced at $9.50 CAD. You mention an $8.50 discount. Just want to verify: Is the $8.50 discount based on the total number of balls needed for the Zaden shawl (9 I believe the pattern calls for)?
That’s a good question – I’m not sure. I would guess that the discount will work with any amount of yarn in your basket, but you may want to contact KPC for clarification.
I ordered the 9 that the pattern called for and got an CAD$8.50 discount on the total. Shipping to the US was free and the total in USD was $65 .25.
Coupon code is not working. Is a ball of this yarn REALLY 58.00 PER SKEIN?? Are they kidding, that’s over 500.00 discount or not!!
Ali – please click the currency conversion at the top of the page. If you are seeing $58 per skein, you are looking at the cost in Hong Kong Dollars, which is very different. To use the coupon code, create an account on the site and log in.

Hi Staci,
I used the currency conversion, as suggested, my order qualified for free shipping, however, upon checkout, a 12.00 + Hong Kong shipping charged popped up and the total jumped from 58.00 to over 578.00. I gave up and didn’t place an order. It shouldn’t be this difficult to place an order!

Just ordered my yarn and am very excited to get knitting this beautiful shawl.
Also, as an FYI to all of the comments about KPC website- I did have a bit of trouble getting an account set up. One simple email was all it took and KPC set the account up for me within a few hours. After that – ordered the yarn (with the discount) without a hitch!
After three tries with using coupons…I never got them to work. I ordered any way because I want to knit this project. I placed order April 18th….just got an email stating a problem with FedEx..expect to get yarn on May 10th. Dissatisfaction with having to wait so long…..I had wanted take project on a road trip. That said, customer service has been quick to answer emails. They offered a discount on my Next order……I would have preferred at least the coupon amount off of this order!
