  1. Hi ladies! I think I know more!! I feel like the magic elves have left Roxanne Richardson alone with the yarn twist – in response to two questions! Check out this video she has about “adding or removing” yarn twist in winding. I need to revisit it and really study it to see if it would help with these issues! She is a spinner so she understands yarn twist in general – I’m not a spinner, but I think it will help!

    Cheers!

  2. Oh no – there’s an audio drop out just after 20 min. I noticed it on the Google Play version, and also here on the website!

I want to know the deets of the colorpooling/selfstriping question!

    • Uh oh! How did we miss that? So sorry! Not sure what we’re going to do, I can’t replace the episode with an edited version. Thank you for letting me know!

    • Glad I’m not the only one who encountered this. I thought it was my Bluetooth Airpods getting interference. ?

    • I’m also glad I’m not the only one experiencing the audio drop. It drops at about 20:13 but then I let it keep playing, fuming with inner rage that I can’t hear the rest of the answer, the audio picked back up at around 21:22 with one more question. So strange. It would have been nice to hear the rest of Ian’s answer. =)

  3. Love, love, love your podcasts! The very best knitting podcast by far! I have learned so much! You are the best!! I do have to say though, lately you have been slipping into the same trappings of the others with the idle chatter. My drive to work is 25 minutes, just long enough for one podcast! The other day when I arrived, I realized that a I heard more about colds and flu than anything else.

  4. I haven’t searched more about the rowing out. The one tip I heard was that the angle of your needles when you are entering the stitch need to be the same for knitting and purling. When I tried that out, it was true for me! I don’t remember my specifically though.

  5. I recently discovered your podcast and have really enjoyed it. Regarding the question about rowing out, one trick that has helped my row gauge to even out in stockinette is to use a smaller needle on the purl side of my flat knitting. I knit continental and have fairly even tension in both knit and purl for my stitch gauge, so this one change has made a noticeable difference.
