  1. First, I don’t get why the designer directed the customer to the publisher. Why would the publisher understand the pattern better than the designer? Second, I think I might have told that publisher “My intuition is refrain from ever purchasing any of your patterns or products again, and I will be starting a word of mouth campaign telling everyone to think deep before they do so.”

  2. Totally unhelpful designer! Definitely make this clear in your Ravelry notes to help the community.

Since the knitter has gotten as far as the armhole decreases, I have a couple of suggestions for decreases in lace knitting.
    1. You may have to give up a pattern repeat or part of the pattern repeat at either edge.
    2. If you give up the entire repeat, substitute the background stitch pattern, usually stockinette and make the decrease in the stockinette stitch..
    3. You can give up a partial repeat if you remember to pair a yarn over or lace pattern increase with a lace pattern decrease. Again substitute the background stitch pattern and make the armhole decrease there.
    Enjoy finishing up. Mac

  3. I participate in the “ I 91 Shop Hop”. It goes from New Haven, Connecticut up to Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney, VT following Route 91. It’s a lot fun. Webs is along the route, as well…..

  4. Some pals and I took part in our local quilting/fabric shop hop this past spring in the UP of Michigan. I just computed the route, we went to 11 quilt shops and traveled……679 miles. Lots of time to laugh!! ??????
