  1. I heard talk here about finding knitting buddies so I’ll share my experience. I had wanted to start a small group for a long time, with no success. I did have one friend who knits and she agreed to get together with me once a week. It was just the two of us for a very long time and that was fun too. Gradually, we each each invited someone to join us. We are now a group of 6 and, although we can’t all be there on a given week, it has worked out great. You only need to start with one! ?

  2. I am also in Lansing, MI, and would love to meet up and knit. I have just started going to the knitting group at the Capital Area District Library in Holt, which seems to be a fun group.

  3. Hi all – a thought on a good increase plan for seed stitch… I haven’t tried this, but it is how I would attempt it – it seems like it wouldn’t disrupt the seed stitch pattern too much, but I think you would need to do this increase in even numbers across the row to keep your starting stitch the same as before… i.e. add sts to the rows in multiples of 2:

    k1,p1,kfb,k1,p1

the kfb ends up looking mostly like a k1,p1… so if you just plop that after a purl, there would look like a new pair of k/p in between an existing p and k.

  4. Casey – I did an outline of a few friends feet, from the instructions in fishlips kiss heel, and ended up with a sock about an inch too long. I haven’t tried again with another one of the feet I traced to see if maybe it was a fluke!

I do want to try the wet foot outline for me and see if that’s more consistently representative of my foot shape!

    Thanks!
