  1. Thank you Staci, you’ve guided me through almost everything I’ve knitted. I’ve tried flicking over and over and think I have the hang of it now watching the slow video made me realize how my right hand should be more a lever pushing forward so the reach of the yarn is not so hard. Thanks. My Hand and finger muscle memory hopefully will take over soon. Grateful for all your wonderful videos but miss your weekly podcast with KC. Stay well. ?

  2. Thanks Staci for another great video. What really got me into flicking was knitting socks on 9inch circulars. The needles tips are so tiny and I found it quite awkward to drop the needle so I could throw the yarn. This gave me the motivation I needed to try something new. Now flicking is my default style and I love it – it was well worth the effort in learning. thank you!

    Stay well,
    Tanya

  3. General comment: Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the wonderful tutorials you’ve put together over the years. I’ve learned so, so from you, and I look forward to each new video posted. Question: What is the name/pattern of that beautiful wrap on the mannequin behind you? I’m making a wish that it’ll be in an upcoming tutorial! 😉

  4. I am switching to flicking because my (50-year) pattern of throwing yields a super loose knit and I can’t get close enough to gauge to do garment knitting. I am working a swatch now and I find that the tension is pretty tight, and I wonder if you can comment about tension or if you have a video that addresses it. I am wrapping around my pinkie. So far I have tried one, two and 3 wraps with pretty similar results. How to find a tension I like?

  5. How do you suggest going about changing one’s knitting style? I am interested in learning to do this. Would you just start knitting straight-up stockinette for some long boring project or do you have another suggestion? What about purling with this style of knitting?
    Thank you!

    • Judy – I talk more about changing your style of knitting in the other flicking videos, I recommend watching those.  I recommend knitting all stitches…so garter stitch, if you’re knitting a flat piece, while you’re learning a new style.  I talk more about purling/flicking in my other flicking videos, and I have  slow-motion flicking/purling video coming out soon.
