Undulating Lines Pullover

In this tutorial we talk about the construction and stitches in the Undulating Lines Pullover pattern by Stella Egidi. To get your yarn kit (includes pattern!), visit the Mountain Meadow Wool website.

This sweater has six sizes, 36 (40, 44 3/4, 48, 52 3/4, 55 1/4) inches, and uses Mountain Meadow Wool Alpine yarn. It uses needle sizes US 5 (3.75 mm) and US 6 (4.0 mm).

The swatch ruler I use in the video is by Katrinkles.

      • The pattern is available on Ravelry – but to be clear, I’m not the designer.  Really, I don’t recommend this pattern in anything but wool…you need the “give” wool has to be able to block out the stitch pattern in the yoke.  If you don’t like wool, this might not be a good pattern choice for you.

        • Would a yarn that is mostly wool but has some silk in it work ok? Or should it be 100% wool?

          • Kayla – I’m not sure, it would probably depend on the yarn.  I really recommend the yarn using the yarn listed in the pattern for the best results.

  1. I probably would have passed this beautiful pullover by because the patterning looks very complicated, BUT you are such a great teacher, so I have confidence to give it a try. I made my first top-down raglan and toe-up socks from your videos. Everyone thinks I’m a brilliant knitter, but it’s just because you are that good at teaching. Can’t thank you or recommend you enough!

  2. Staci,
I love the sweater and your video! I would like to buy the pattern but only kits are available on their website. Do you know if they will offer pattern alone anytime soon?
    Thank you.

  4. Where can I get a big chart like you use. My downloaded pattern one is smaller and hard on my 76 year old. Love your tutorials.

  5. Hey it’s me again. I am working my way through the yoke of the sweater. THIS IS FUN! Are you planning on doing any more videos on this pattern?

    • Susan – glad you’re enjoying the pattern.  I don’t have any plans to release any more tutorials on this sweater…if you have questions, please contact the pattern designer directly for support.

  6. Anyone know why pattern beginning at “short rows” instructs you to purl to market and later slip market but it never instructed you to place a marker???

    • Yes – you have a marker at the beginning of the round, which is at the center back of the sweater.  (If you have more questions on the pattern, feel free to contact the pattern designer directly.)

      • Yes..I figured that out after engaging my brain??. But thankyou for the quick response and all your videos. I wouldn’t be doing this without you!!

  7. The knit two stitches together do you knit through the back Loop? All knit stitches are in the back Loop
