Celtic Cable Scarf

In this tutorial we talk about working the stitches in the Celtic Cable Scarf, pattern by Vanessa Lewis. This pattern includes both charted and written instructions, and uses size US 6 (4mm) needles. The pattern calls for 16″ circulars, but you can use longer circulars or straight needles.

You can see the kit (pattern and yarn) here.
You can see all of the Perfection DK yarn colors here.
And the pattern here.
You can add this pattern to your Ravelry queue here.

My finished scarf is knit in Winter Lake.

The cable needles I show in the video:
The Knitter’s Pride kit with the magnetic necklace
The Brittany wood cable needle
The sterling silver cable needle
The short DPN I show is a 5″ needle from ChiaoGoo.

In the video I mistakenly said the pattern is by Vanessa Ewing – it is designed by Vanessa Lewis! Sorry for the mistake.

  1. I love this scarf tutorial. It’s such a pretty scarf! It would be pretty in almost any color, but the “sprout” green and those gorgeous cables just says Ireland to me!

  2. On the Ravelry site there are many comments about an error in the pattern. As a beginner I need to follow the pattern exactly! Has it been corrected?
