I found a craft reuse location in Houston, I haven’t contacted them yet. I found them by searching for “Houston craft supplies donation”.

  1. Destashify will help you sell yarn. They take a portion of the sale. I have purchased fabric through them and the process is very smooth.

  2. RE Karen’s question about Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI): As a retired physiotherapist I have to say I spent every day of my 45-year career talking about posture, RSI, how to avoid it and treating it. I am not sure why anyone would contact a knitting show about that. Would you ask a knitting question on an emergency health line? Karen please go and consult a PT – I heard you are in southern Ontario as I am, and I can assure you there are hundreds of well qualified PTs there to help you!

  3. Re Karen’s question about switching to continental from english knitting because of right shoulder pain; many years ago, I tore my right rotator cuff and as a english knitter experienced additional right shoulder pain; I chose not to have surgery, so I learned to knit continental style and have never looked back; I still experience right shoulder pain when I overwork that side doing other activities, so I know that if I went back to english knitting, the additional pain would recur; continental took some getting used to, but I love it now; hope you find relief.

  4. Hi agree on skipping set up stitches for Kitchener, andI’ve had a more experienced knitter tell me the same, but would be interested in hearing the result on whether you still do it!

  5. Cubic needles are helpful for many with arthritis. Less effort to hold onto needles.

Carson Demmers, a physical therapist who knits, has written and compiled an amazing book for knitting comfortably. Excellent resource / reference for knitting, and every day healthy ergonomics.
