  1. Staci-Heard the podcast today and I have another great reason to weigh your yarn – to manage yarn chicken. I bought a postal scale that weighs to 1/100 gram ($13). When I start worrying if I’m going to run out, I measure my yarn ball before I knit a row and then when I finish that row. I know how much the row takes and can figure out how much more I will need to finish. Takes some easy math and some estimating, but has worked for me often. And reduced my anxiety.

    • Excellent! I was just going to post this additional use of a scale! No need to wonder if you have enough yarn or not.
