  1. I’m not sure where to enter a question for the podcast so I’m going to try here.
When a pattern says to co a provisional co and on the first row sl1 then knit to the end on the set up row. how do you proceed.
Do I knit the first row of the provisional co and then on the next row sl1 and knit to the end.

  2. Fun hearing the question about knitting with glow in the dark yarn. I got some (Gert’s Glow House – fingering weight – Bernat doesn’t make theirs anymore), and I looked through patterns, too many of which had cables, ribbing, or other fanciness. I just wanted a straight, stockinette beanie so I could chart out my image idea. Plain stockinette beanies are very rare! In fact, I went to Ravelry, picked “Male,” “fingering,” and “beanie/toque” from the filters, and typed “stockinette” in the search box, and got ONE HAT. It was Darrin by DROPS, but it held the fingering double, and I don’t have enough (I think). I finally just swatched and am working out my own thing. I know how; I’m just lazy. I had a great time (5 times!) casting on 160 stitches in a tubular cast on with this very light fingering (possibly lace) yarn that I’m using for the non-glow color, on size 0 bamboo DPNs. Curse my 24″ hat size! What a Halloween adventure.
