Thanks Staci! This yarn has such beautiful colors. I have been just recently looking at doing a shawl for the first time. We have been dressing up for art events and I was looking for a beautiful shawl to make. This would be perfect! I hope I am one of the winners!!! 🙂
The Skeino yarn is breathtakenly beautiful. How elegant it would feel to drape this shawl around your shoulders! I know I could create this – taking advantage of the helpful video. I’ll be hoping I am lucky enough to be 1 of the 3 winners.
OH how beautiful a sweater would be with this yarn!
xXFingers So hard to find this weight in the stores in my area!
I saw that pattern on Ravelry and thought it looked pretty simple to follow. Looking forward to Wednesday for the added tips you give to make it so much clearer.
Wow, it would be really hard to choose from all those colors. I especially like Wood and Raspberry Mint Chip.
Oh my, I think I should make Raspberry Sorbet, but there is Morning Mist and Foaming See and Fire and… I’m in trouble.
I have been struggling to find the perfect pattern for a shawl to knit for a charity auction. Bam! This is it!,
This is so beautiful. This would push me out of my comfort zone, but I would love to attempt it.
What a clever idea to bundle the yarn groupings that way. I was browsing through the beautiful colorway options, I really like Morning Mist and Evergreen, but they are ALL stunning. Thank you for the chance to win and thank you for all of your helpful, educational tutorials!
Thanks Staci. What an awesome project and tutorial. I appreciate the fact that Skeino is socially responsible, as you call it. makes me want to ourchase their scrumptious yarn. Thank you for sharing that information. I am looking forward to making this in the near future.
Thanks for this giveaway and the tutorial! All the colors are just beautiful and the pattern looks like it is simple and straightforward to do thanks to your helpful tutorial!
This is a beautiful shawl….I would love to make one…so many beautiful colors to choose from.
That shawl is simply amazing in all of the colorways. My favorites are greens though, so I of course like the evergreen one best!
Thank you, Staci! What a beautiful set of colors and they look so pretty in this shawl!
What a beautiful pattern! I tried a ‘mini’ shawl, much like you did, just to get a feel for the technique. However, when 20 sts are cast on for the new triangle, there are now 176 sts. If you work these sts by shorting each row by six sts, the last batch is not 6 sts. Is this a typo, or am I just numerically challenged?
Doris – after casting-on 20 stitches at the end of the first row in the new color, you have 176 stitches. Then you knit 150, which is divisible by six.
