I recently put out a video called Three Options for Joining a New Ball of Yarn, and it was brought to my attention that I missed a fourth!
The yarn I used for demonstration is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky.
My nail polish is by Julep, color “Evan”.
HI Staci – I wonder magic knot will be my best way to join James Brett’s Fluttery yarn. It is a wonderfully soft velour yarn. However when it is cut, the end frays and pieces fall apart leaving a very thin polyester thread. I’m knitting a baby blanket and feeling very nervous in joining a new ball. Would really appreciate your expert advice.
Excellent! I think I learned about this years ago but had definitely forgotten. I just used this to join a new ball of yarn on my Ten Stitch Blanket. It was the perfect method for the yarn I am using. No ends to weave in!!
Thanks so much,
Michelle
