  1. For the person who asked about what to do when your favorite yarn is discontinued, they could try yarnsub.com and search for the yarn. It will give you yarns that have similar fiber content and weight, and gives a percentage of how close it is to the original yarn. Just an idea if you really liked that yarn!

  2. This actually happened to me in Portugal. We were leaving to return home and they wanted my size 7 needles. Luckily, they were interchangeable. The agent helped me find a paper clip to remove the needles and I tied the cable together. The real kicker was, we entered the the lounge and sat across from a couple where the lady was knitting! She couldn’t believe they took my needles. I gave her your website info because she said she’d like to learn more.

  3. For sewing backing you need to match warp and weft of the fabrics. A commercial sewing patterm for knits will have a measutement to check the amount of stretch needed. Thread Cutterz is something you should be able to take on a plane.

  4. My poodle, Monet, has a favorite yarn–Juniper Moon Farms –Zooey. He loves for me to wrap him in a shawl I knitted it this yarn. Also, he loves a cardi shrug I knit with the same yarn. I just remembered, he loves Blue Sky Alpacca in the winter!! So, I will have to keep an eye out if any of these are discontinued.

  5. Dunedin is pronounced done-eden. Of you go to Wikipedia and check out any city, there is always an digital audio clip to pronounce the city name.

  6. Regarding the 100th episode and eating cake:
    Anyone else up for a bake-along? 🙂
