Twilight Mittens

Many thanks to Mountain Meadow Wool for being so kind and patient with us during quarantine, as we shoot videos from the Shutdown Studio!

The kit from Mountain Meadow Wool comes with two colors of yarn, your needles, and the pattern. Visit their website to see the kits.

You can get this pattern on its own and add this pattern to your Ravelry queue here.

If you’re a newer knitter looking for easier mittens or fair isle projects, here are a few tutorials to get you started:

Things you’ll see in this video:
The little stitch marker case I use
The double-pointed needles I used on the thumb are Knitter’s Pride Zing
The scarf on the mannequin can be found here (not my design).

    • I purchased the Twilight mittens kit from Mountain Meadow Wool. The dash symbol on line 7 of the pattern is not defined. . .I’ve contacted Mountain Meadow Wool and have not received a response. What does the dash on line 7 mean? I’m stuck on the pattern and can’t continue until I know what to do on line 7. Also, the instructions on where to begin the thumb gusset are confusing. . .the written instructions explain to begin on line 5, but line 5 is the cuff. I’m sorry that this pattern is not up to your standard, Stacy.

      • Sandy – sorry you’re having trouble.  I address the “dash” issue in the video…the dash is purl.
Regarding the thumb gusset, please read carefully…it says to start on Row 5.  The numbered rows start after the cuff, and you’ll see row 5 on the hand section of the chart.  Hope that helps!

  1. Beautiful pattern. I’m also admiring the light blue project bag on your desk.
