So glad I found your podcast!! Really enjoying.
Love your videos and patterns and podcasts!
Question: Do you have any videos on knitting fair isle flat, i.e. not in the round? I have a pattern for a cardigan that is knitted back and forth.
Many thanks from Athens, Greece.
Staci,
I discovered your videos many years ago and the first place I check when I have a knitting question is your website.
I listened to the pod cast about sock knitting and magic loop. When I first tried magic loop I use the heavier cords and disliked the result. Have you tried magic loop with the fine sock cords from ChiaoGoo or HyiaHyia? I use a 32 inch fine cord and the results are beautiful. However, if I use a shorter cord it does cause laddering. This is not criticism, just wondering if you’ve tried the finer cords. Love your videos and podcasts. Fun to see what your pups are up to on FB, especially Dolly. I appreciate all the knitting knowledge you share.
One of the main reasons I love magic loop is that I can do my socks two at a time, so they will always match and I don’t have to count rows. Is there a way to do this with dpns/flexiflips/etc?
Hi Kristen – yes, I didn’t mention it in the episode, but magic loop is the only way you can have two socks (or two sleeves) on the needle at once. So it is good for that!
