I really miss knitting magazines too! Granted, I never had subscriptions (I don’t trust my USPS people not to mishandle any magazines; I like them to be pristine so buy magazines in the stores), but when the new magazine would be published I knew I could pick it up in a local store. I had hoped magazines would return following COVID. Oddly, I DO miss the advertising — or ads that kinda sorta read like an ‘article’ — about new products to scout out. There is something about having pages to turn/read rather than a digital, online e-zine.
I believe Noro still has a print magazine, but I’m finding no other knitting magazines on the newstands/bookstores besides Noro, yet still see crochet, quilting, weaving/”Little Looms” magazines …
(I’m also a fan of Laine for their books — their magazines feel a bit too ‘spendy’ to me — but normally don’t see their magazines on the newstand, but in LYS.)
I am listening to podcast 297 about knitting magazines. You mentioned “Laine”. That is the French word for “wool” and is pronounced (roughly) “len”.
