Seed Stitch

How did I have so many videos, but not one on this stitch yet? Here we go! Seed stitch!

You can see my “Basics” playlist here.

The yarn I used is Valley Yarns Wachusett in color 200743.
The needles I used are Lykke Driftwood.

Slow Motion Bind-Off

The last of the basic stitches for very visual learners. In this video, my producer slows the bind-off way, way down – for a close-up and slow demonstration of the stitch.

Here is the playlist of all of my Slo-Mo videos (I’ll be adding more as I release more slo-mo videos).

The yarn I used is Valley Yarns Northfield in color Jade. The needles are Knitter’s Pride Platina.

Slow Motion Purl Stitch

Something new for visual learners! In this video, my producer slows the purl stitch way, way down – for a close-up and slow demonstration of the stitch. I demonstrate three different ways to purl stitches.

If you’d like to see my regular speed purl stitch video, you can find that here.

Slo-Mo Cast-On

Something new for visual learners! In this video, my producer slows the long-tail cast-on way, way down – for a close-up and slow demonstration of the stitch.

The yarn I use in the video is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky in Crush. The needle is a Knitter’s Pride Bamboo double-pointed needle. (It isn’t necessary to use dpns for this cast-on.) My nail polish is ASP Gel Polish in “Pink Sweetness”.

Fixing a Dropped German Short Row Stitch

In this video I demonstrate how to correct a dropped German Short Row stitch.

My video on working German Short Rows (and substituting them in when a pattern calls for traditional wraps & turns) can be found here.

The needles I’m using are Knitter’s Pride double-pointed needles. The yarn I’m using is Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Bulky.

My nail polish is Gelish “It’s a Lily”.

Two-Color Fisherman’s Rib

In this video, I demonstrate a technique that looks a lot like two-color brioche stitch, but is a bit easier to work. The written instructions are available as a FREE RAVELRY DOWNLOAD, and include directions for both flat and in-the-round.

Information about things you’ll see in this video
In the scarf example (flat), I used:
Addi Natura Bamboo Interchangeable needles
Uneek Worsted Superwash – urthyarns.com, color 4012
Berroco Vintage Chunky, color 6124

In the hat (in-the-round) sample I used:
Tulip Bamboo Interchangeable needles
Marigold Fibers yarns

My nail polish is Gelish “It’s a Lily”.

Double-Thick Hat Cuff

This technique can be used for hat cuffs, sleeve cuffs, and neckbands – any time you’re working from a cast-on row in-the-round.

The yarn I used for demonstration is from Marigold Fibers, and the hat pattern I’m using (but modifying with this cuff) is Branta.

My in-progress fair isle hat is Coronal, using Quince & Co. Chickadee yarn.

The needles I use for demonstration are Knitter’s Pride Zing, and Knitter’s Pride Royale.

My needle gauge ring is by Malojos.

My nail polish is Gelish “Black Cherry Berry”.
