You talked about the Texan water eventually putting your steamer out of commission, and I have a suggestion. I work in retail, and we steam clothes that we dress the mannequins in. In our steamer, we use distilled water! That way there isn’t a worry about any minerals or other things in the tap water causing problems. Hope that helps!
I have just started doing our households ironing on a regular basis and wanted some ironing water. It was suggested I use the water from our dryer as it’s a condenser dryer and so is basically distilled water. Have tried it this week and it works perfectly! Has made me feel loads better that I’m not wasting perfectly good water ?
