  1. I’ve been a fan of yours for years – before you moved to Austin and you were taking selfies every day for a year. So glad you are still helping knitters and stay willing to hear our problems. One of the things I really struggled with is tubular bind off. For some reason my brain had a problem. That tubular thing, like that brioche thing, isn’t easy for me. Checked out your designs on Ravelry and didn’t find a project to learn tubular cast on/bind off. For the future maybe?

    • Thanks, Mary. I have over 700 knitting videos available, but you won’t find them on Ravelry. You’ll only find my patterns there. If you’re looking for a technique video, you can use the search bar on my website, or search my YouTube channel – youtube.com/verypinkknits. Here is my video on the tubular BO: https://verypink.com/2011/12/01/tubular-bind-off/

  2. Hi Staci, i’ve just been listening to your podcast, there was a question from the lady in Sweden. Your answer really confused me! She asked about winding a skein of yarn into a cake. After some Googling I realised it was all to do with English english and American english. What you call a hank, we here in Europe call a skein. So winding skeins into cakes or a hand wound ball is what we do… hope that makes sense.

  3. I am also a big fan of Elizabeth Zimmerman. I got her book “Knitting Without Tears” years ago to knit my first sweater. It amused my family a great deal when I used a sharpie to insert the word NOT In the title. (Knitting, Not Without Tears”) . Even the great Elizabeth Zimmerman was not able to prevent me from reaching what I call the “depression” stage of the project. This happens less since I’ve discovered VeryPink as now I have a wonderful resource to turn to when there are problems. Thank you Staci And Casey!
